We interact with technology daily but rarely reflect on how it affects our lives. Yet, we find more and more examples of how our interactions do not contribute to our well-being. For this reason, I am passionate about designing the interaction between humans and computers more responsibly: This is what I call ``meaningful interaction’’ in human–computer collaboration.
My vision is to advance the research and the design of socially responsible technologies of human–computer collaboration by investigating the interconnectedness of humans, data, algorithms, and environments based on critical-reflexive practices.
My interdisciplinary research is positioned at the intersection of human–computer interaction, collaborative computing, and socioinformatics. Thereby, I advocate the use and development of open-source software, the principles of open science, and open access to scholarly knowledge.
